Observed Drives

Drives

Normally these will commence in the Kendal area, and usually last about 1---2hrs. All drives are carried out in your own car and are on a pre-booked basis only. 

We have observers living in various areas and due to the large geographic area we cover it may well be possible to arrange other meeting points that may be more suitable to candidates and observers. We aim to be as flexible as possible with arranging drives but please bear in mind all our observers give up their time voluntarily; If for any reason you are unable to attend a pre- booked drive please contact the observer who arranged your drive.

All our observers give up their time voluntarily so it is essential that any pre-booked drives are attended on time.

Your first drive will be a demonstratration drive by a one of our Observers, in their own car. At the same time the necessary documentation will be sorted out, so you would need to bring your driving licence, valid insurance and MOT certificate (if neccessary) for your car, and all the forms you have received from IAM Headquarters, duly completed. If there is any other relevant information that we may need to know about your driving, for example any medical conditions, please let us have that at this time.
